Serfaus Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis: the second best ski area in the world

Silver for the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area. The German winter sports portal Ski Area Test selected the ten best from 250 ski areas in the world. Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis achieved the unbelievable second place and got the maximum number of points in the categories families, service and mountain restaurants. Because honor is due to the winner: Zermatt in Switzerland took first place.

This is how we tested

The ski areas were rated in ten test categories. The respective offers for beginners, experts, freeriders, freestylers, families, plus après-ski, service, guaranteed snow, value for money and mountain restaurants were examined. The top four ski areas - Zermatt, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, Ski Arlberg and Whistler Blackcomb - all achieved 89 points. In the race for the podium, the user rating was the decisive factor and gave us second place.

Unbeatable when it comes to offers for families, service and mountain restaurants

Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis received the maximum number of points for the offer for families, service and the mountain restaurants. Since our region has particularly welcomed families with offers such as the Kinderschneealm and Bertas Kinderland, we are pleased about this strong rating.

The test also shows that not only families, but also racers, freeriders, freestylers and après-ski fans feel at home in our region. There are 196 kilometers of slopes, many cross-country trails, toboggan runs, snowshoe tracks and fun parks. A trump card is of course the southern orientation of our ski area, because where the sun shines, winter sports are known to be much nicer.

We were of course curious what our guests say about spending their vacation in the top 2 winter sports area in the world. One of our regular guests is Armin from Vorarlberg. Although he also finds excellent ski areas in his home country, he has been vacationing in Serfaus for years. When he suggested Serfaus as a ski area to his tennis colleagues, one of them said that the ski area was far too easy and not too extreme. Armin persuaded him anyway and after a local inspection the skeptic could also be convinced. Because black slopes are actually black slopes in Serfaus. Since then, Armin has been coming every year because Serfaus is simply an "incredibly great ski area" for him.
