Hiasl's Stubn in Serfaus Shines with a New Brilliance
After 43 days of construction, Hiasl's Stubn now shines with a new brilliance. An elegant combination of the traditional and modern with lots of attention to the smallest details.
SERFAUS. Lots of old growth timber, elegant upholstery, and warm earth tones compliment each other perfectly as they provide an invitation to sit and relax for a while. A newly desgined buffet and an updated bar combination also make the team's work easier. It's not just the homey ambiance that attracts plenty of guests. Above all it's the hospitality of the Kirschner family that brings so many visitors to the Hiasl Stub'n. As the main host, Reinhard Kirschner, joked in his speech, you really have to congratulate the Kirschner family for this successful mission.
"After 30 years, it was finally time for a change. Our restaurant and bar has to be very versatile - we have to be able to serve as many guests as possible and nevertheless it should remain cozy. And I think that we really achieved that, Wendl," Reinhard said to his trusted carpenter, Wendelin Krismer, who was by Reinhard's side to help with advice and action from the time when the project was just an idea. Reinhard, together with his wife, Gabriela, and son, Gerald, turned a rough idea into a polished jewel.
The celebration officially kicked off with a thank you speech from the top boss, Reinhard: "It's my pleasure to thank, above all, my wife, Gabriela, and my children Gerald together with Claudia and Jasmin, my uncle, Franz Waldner and his beloved Wilma, who were always available any time of night or day, and of course all of our staff, without whom none of this would be possible. And I'd like to officially extend a heartfelt thanks today to our mayor emeritus, Georg Mangott, for the many motivational conversations. And a big thanks goes to all of the companies and suppliers that played active and supporting roles in this project."

From a culinary perspective, the evening was an experience in a class of its own: Joachim Jaud, an unrivaled star in the gourmet scene treated everyone to an explosion of flavors with his crazy combinations and his extravagent preparation techniques using exclusively regional products. Mathias Jalits from the eponymous vineyard in Burgenland made sure that each course was accompanied with the right wine. The celebration was rounded out by the musical contributions of "D'Huangartler".
